On November 27, 2001, Reverend Mark E. Blue accepted the call to serve as pastor of Second Baptist Church in Lackawanna, New York.
Rev. Blue joined the United States Air Force Reserve in 1983 and retired in 2003 with the rank of Master Sergeant. He also served as a Base Equal Opportunity Employment Counselor and was a member of the Air Force Reserve Base Human Resource Development Council.
Over the years, Rev. Blue has been recognized for his leadership and community service. Academically, Rev. Blue earned his Associate Degree in Aerospace Technology in October 2001, another Associate Degree in June 2007, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry in June 2009 from the Rochester Center of Theological and Biblical Studies. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at Andersonville Theological Seminary.

As the devoted pastor of Second Baptist Church, Rev. Blue grounds his ministry in the power of prayer and the promise of Jesus in Matthew 6:33:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
With God on our side, we cannot fail.
