Second Baptist Church is a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church whose members love the Lord with all their hearts, minds, and souls.
We are committed to following the Great Commission given by Christ in Matthew 28:19–20:
“Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
We strive to be a beacon in our community, reaching out to those in need of mental, physical, and spiritual healing. We will take every opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Seeking the Unsought: We open our arms to those who are hurting and in need of hope, inviting them to experience the love of Christ.
Bringing the Unbrought: We welcome the unsaved into fellowship with our loving, caring, and sharing congregation.
Catching the Uncaught: We prepare believers to evangelize, witness, and testify about the goodness of our Lord.
Teaching the Untaught: We offer regular Bible study, Sunday School, and ongoing training to help people grow closer to Christ. Our youth are a priority, with continuous opportunities to learn and experience the goodness of the Lord.
Our mission is clear: to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, help them grow in Christ-like maturity, and equip them to serve and minister in our community.
